Harry Potter author J.K Rowling has unveiled an intriguing new website called Pottermore, sparking speculation that a new book could be in the works. The writer launched Pottermore.com, which currently features a logo with the words "Coming Soon" and her signature on it - yesterday, following a "secret street view" challenge.
Ten Harry Potter websites were given the co-ordinates, each of which pertained to a different letter in the web address. No further details have been revealed about the project. However, a source at Hpana.com, who claims to have previewed the site, described it as "breathtaking in scope, detail and sheer beauty". A Pottermore Twitter account has also been set up at Twitter.com/pottermore. The name is said to have been patented by Rowling, too, who registered the word internationally in July 2009. Rowling is currently working on several new projects, and has previously said that she is unsure whether she would ever write another Harry Potter book. The final movie installment of the franchise, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, will hit the theaters on 15 July.
