Celebrities who Enjoy Spending Their Time In A Casino

Many people worship celebrities, whether it’s reading the magazine gossip columns or having posters or shrines on their bedroom walls. Generally we best know celebrities for the work they do in the world of entertainment. But the fact of the matter is that celebrities are just human beings like the rest of us, and they too have hobbies and interests that they like to pursue in their free time. Here we take a look at a number of celebrities who all feel at home inside a traditional brick and mortar casino.

Ben Affleck
He’s a very busy boy these days, especially since landing the role of Batman, who we’ve seen in two movies this year. With the Justice League movie due out in 2017, plus a solo Batman movie on the way (with Affleck also set to direct), it’s a miracle Ben ever gets any free time, but when he does, he loves a visit to the casino. He even enlisted poker professionals Amir Vahedi and Annie Duke as his coaches before playing a number of private and high stakes games around the LA area. In 2014 Affleck was banned from the Hard Rock Hotel on the suspicion of card counting. If it wasn’t for the fact he has such a recognisable face, Affleck could use to the Ladbrokes Poker Name Generator to create a new alias for himself.

Jennifer Tilly
The Los Angeles born actress is well known for her roles in Liar Liar, Bullets Over Broadway and the Haunted Mansion. Although she still acts occasionally, Tilly has admitted that she prefers playing poker over anything else. To date she has won more than $900,000 in winnings, starting with the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) where she won a bracelet and $158,625. Tilly even appeared on the World Series of Poker video game, alongside her long-term boyfriend Phil Laak.

John McCain
He has been the Senator of Arizona since 1987, and has unsuccessfully run for US President on two occasions, but you may not know that McCain is also a lover of casinos. Those close to the politician have often said about how hard it was to pry him away from the craps table on a night out. We can only wonder if McCain was a visitor to Donald Trump’s chain of casinos.

Tobey Maguire
Another A-list actor, best known for his appearances in Spider-Man and Seabiscuit, but Maguire is also a big fan of poker and was seen at the WSOP in 2005, 06 and 07. He recruited Daniel Negreanu as his personal tutor and even won $10 m at a poker tournament in Hollywood. In 2007 he participated in the WSOP and was eliminated on the fourth day, finishing in 292nd place and taking home almost $40,000 in prize money.
