Millie Bobby Brown Stars in Netflix’s Enola Holmes

Fame of 'Stranger Things', Millie Bobby Brown after her successful ongoing role as 'Eleven', grabs another Netflix venture. Starring as Sherlock Holmes' teen sister in the upcoming Netflix movie Enola Holmes, Millie Bobby Brown is ready to impress. Based on the namesake book series by Nancy Springer, the movie is directed by Fleabag and director Harry Bradbeer of 'Killing Eve', and is written by Jack Thorne.

Millie Bobby Brown stars as the title character, and is also a producer on the movie. The role of her older brother, Sherlock, is played by 'Superman' Henry Cavill, while Sam Claflin will be playing their sister Mycroft Holmes. A-list actress Helena Bonham Carter will play their mother Eudoria Holmes, and the movie will be based on her disappearance with Millie playing the quest to find her.

The movie will be set in the year 1884, and will begin on Enola’s 16th birthday, when she discovers her mother missing. Enola sets off to find her mother, outwitting her famous brother Sherlock, and becoming a super-sleuth in her own right. The movie also dwells along a dangerous conspiracy around a mysterious young Lord.

Adding some drama around the release of the movie, Variety reports that the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle is suing Netflix for copyright and trademark issues relating to the film's portrayal of Sherlock. The famous detective is showcased to possess emotions, even as most of the stories have slipped past the 95-year window for copyright protection in the U.S. The estate claims that the movie depicts Sherlock as warm and friendly, however, it is not yet clear if Netflix has responded to the lawsuit.

Enola Holmes will be released on Netflix this September.
