Experience 'Ecstasy' on New Jam by Jesse Eplan (feat. Da Last Phoenix & Kfedey)

Los Angeles, CA -- Emerging Hip Hop Performer/Producer Jesse Eplan has teamed up with Da Last Phoenix & Kfedey to release the video for their single “Ecstasy”, available now on Spotify and all the major services.

With major influences ranging from artists like Future to Lil Uzi Vert, Chris Brown and Travis Scott - Jesse Eplan has taken their flow, hooks, beat selection, and more into account when creating his own music. Jesse’s latest efforts show a real maturity in songwriting. Take note of his unique approach to the sonic production and attention to the smallest details coupled with a genius level creativity in the world of beat creation. A New York native, Jesse broke major ground with the release of his first two major LP's recorded while at the University of Tampa - 2017's "Trap Harmony" and 2018's "Purple Wave", and the Trap and Hip-Hop world took MAJOR notice of the rising young star through his collaborations with like minded artists like Famous Dex (A$AP Rocky, Lil Pump) and Kontraversy (Grafh, LouGotCash). After blazing into high gear last fall with “Player” and “Bakwoods”, it’s safe to say that the five tool Hip-hop/R&B Songwriter and Performer has proven he is ready to take the next step in his career.

Da Last Phoenix, also known as Phoenix is a Haitian American artist out of Brooklyn. His music has a very unique melodic sound. Some might mistake his music as Jeremiah’s or Frank Ocean, just to name a few but we’ll leave you to decide. Da Last Phoenix’s unique sound has been taking over the streets of Brooklyn and across the seas. His music is a balance singing and the popular RnB Drill sound. Raised and grew up in the 9, the grimy street of Brooklyn, he’s here to set the tone and show his fans it’s cool to be vulnerable and sing. Da Last Phoenix can be found on All Dsps.

KFedey is an aspiring artist from Brooklyn NY. Fedey has been creating music for well over 7years now. He would say his style of music is “real rap” But he is constantly  creating and challenging himself  with new sounds and styles. "Failure made me great!"

(New York, NY) -- #Elektragaaz are a global live and virtual instrumental group featuring a mix of live and electronic music with most of the members based in the New York metropolitan area but headed by a mysterious and intensely private Frisian composer using the pseudonym of Poppo Redband but usually referred to as simply Redband. The group exists in both the real world and in a fictional universe, a volatile blend that can be bewitching or bewildering or both. The music too may leave listeners both bewildered and bewitched, drawing on such far flung influences as classical music, hip hop, rock, club, techno, pop, dance, film noir, comic books and video games-- all  precipitated by Redband's neurological condition which causes him to see music as well as hear it.

As an introduction to the world of Elektragaaz, here's “Cabin Fever”, a salute to all of us who are hanging tough and sheltering in place despite the madness of the plague years with a special shout-out to all the front-line workers keeping us all afloat.

LISTEN: https://soundcloud.com/elektragaaz/cabin-fever

Major contributors to Elektragaaz include a mix of rising young musical stars and seasoned veterans including Tom McCaffrey, Mathew Muntz, Kathy Sheppard, Mike Nolan, Jasper Shogo Dutz, Kate Amrine and Josh Henderson. Other featured contributors have included Michael Suke Cerulo, Jake Chapman, Lisa Dowling, Luisa Bastidas, Erin Hill and Keve Wilson. The music is arranged and produced by Trebor Lloyd of City Canyons Productions who most recently produced The Painted Caravan Trilogy for The Peter Ulrich Collaboration headed by ex Dead Can Dance percussionist Peter Ulrich. Elektragaaz’s first release, the digital EP, “ The Synaesthetic Picture Show Now Playing Part 1” will be released on Feb. 12 by AIS Records and will be distributed by City Hall Records and Orchard. Additional EPs from Elektragaaz will be released every three to four months after the initial release.

The Elektragaaz project all began with a mysterious phone call to Lloyd on a late spring evening in 2017. Lloyd, in his Manhattan apartment, was idly surfing the web when his iPhone buzzed. After he responded with a "hello," there was a long pause Then a young voice spoke, in clear English with a smidgeon of an accent: “Hello, I see some music that needs listening”. Lloyd smiled at the odd turn of phrase and asked “OK, and who are you?”.  Another long pause. “I don’t use my real name. I go by Poppo Redband but just Redband mostly.” Lloyd gleaned little information on that night or subsequently as to the identity of “Redband”, though in the course of the conversation it appeared that Redband is a fledgling video games developer as well as a composer, purportedly based in Friesland, a province of the Netherlands,. Redband told Lloyd he was working on a musical project that he styled Elektragaaz and wanted to gather collaborators and a producer for what he called his musical “quest”. Following the conversation Redband began to send Lloyd intriguing electronic tracks via WeTranfer, Dropbox and Google Drive, the material originating from an ever changing array of email addresses. Lloyd pulled in the most talented folk available in the New York area for the purposes of the Elektragaaz collaboration, eventually recording a deep and wildly varied collection of instrumental music, a small slice of which will be included in the debut EP.

Thus the the Elektragaaz saga began but it is far from over and continues, with a variety of twists and turns including, for example, the introduction of the characters Tom Elektron, Mat Thunder, Kathy Kaos, Jas Windstorm, Kosmik Kate, Josh Firebow and Steel Mike. And exactly who is Redband? The only image that purports to be him is carefully doctored to hide more than it reveals. But that’s another story for another time.

All Hype or Actually Good for Your Health? The Science Behind These 9 Naturally-Derived Products and Supplements

More and more people are moving towards natural or therapeutic products rather than traditional goods in recent years. Traditional products, from over the counter medicine to cleaners to beauty products, often contain hidden ingredients that lead to significant health concerns. This is why these new environmentally-conscious generation consumers want to know where their products come from and what ingredients they contain.

Whether it's for better sleep or better exercise, natural alternatives can provide plenty of benefits. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular beauty products and supplements to understand why they have consumers everywhere making significant lifestyle changes.

Natural Ingredients as Dietary Supplements

According to the 2019 CRN Survey, 77 percent of Americans reported consuming dietary supplements, with older adults consuming a larger amount of multivitamins. Many people are demanding transparency from brands and looking for natural ingredients that provide them the most benefits. However, there are plenty of products on the market that claim to be good for health, but is there science behind them?

Here’s the Science Behind Nine of the Popular Health Supplements:

Garcinia Cambogia Extract

This extract is sold as a diet pill, and many people use it to boost weight loss. The skin of the green fruit garcinia cambogia contains HCA or hydroxycitric acid, and an animal study showed with the fruit’s extract reduced cravings

The Science- A 2014 study with 130 people on garcinia and a dummy pill showed no weight difference. However, a review of 12 studies showed that it contributed to a weight loss of 2 pounds over a few weeks.

There are various benefits of proper MCT oil dosage and use, such as reducing cravings, boosting energy, and kick-starting ketosis for those on a low-carb diet. Many people use it for weight management.

The Science- According to a study comparing LCTS and MCTS (present in MCT oil), the latter decreased body weight and total body fat according to research.

Bacopa Monnieri

A herb made into a drug, bacopa monnieri, claims to improve brain power, reduce anxiety and stress, reduce blood pressure and ADHD symptoms.

The Science- One study showed that bacopa monnieri reduced signs of memory impairment in rats. In contrast, a 12-week study showed that older adults that consumed the remedy showed improved retention and attention.

A rodent study showed that it improved anxiety compared to lorazepam, while a human study showed no effect.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender oil is often used for improved hair growth, fighting fungal infections, and treating anxiety symptoms. It is also said to have anti-inflammatory properties and treats digestive issues.

The Science- A study found in a Medical Microbiology journal shows mixed results with treating fungal infections. However, it requires further research. In another, lavender promotes hair growth over four weeks when applied to mice backs.

Tea Tree Oil

Many people use tea tree essential oil to help treat dry skin, combat oily and acne-prone skin, reduce inflammation, and treat dandruff.

The Science- One study showed that tea tree oil was more effective than zinc oxide for treating eczema, while another study showed that it reduces oiliness for those using a tea tree oil-based sunscreen.

It has been proven to reduce inflammation for nickel-induced contact, but there is no evidence for treating dandruff.

Many people use kava root supplements for reducing anxiety, stress, and insomnia.

The Science- A review of 11 studies showed that kava extracts do effectively treated anxiety. In another study, kava extracts reduced stress and insomnia when consumed for six weeks.

CBD is another supplement that many people use to relieve anxiety, reduce neurodegenerative symptoms, and provide pain relief.

The Science- One study shows that a dose of 600 mg reduced anxiety for people with a phobia of public speaking. Studies also have shown success in reducing pain when applied to the skin, but this area could use further research.

Turmeric is said to be good for boosting brain function and has anti-inflammatory properties.

The Science- Curcumin, the compounds present in turmeric, can increase brain-derived neurotrophic factors, which may help to reverse brain diseases. Research suggests that turmeric may also be more efficient than certain anti-inflammatory drugs.

Chaga Mushroom

Apart from being packed with nutrients, Chaga mushrooms reduce signs of aging and lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

The Science- Physical signs of aging, such as wrinkles and sagging skin, appear from oxidative stress. If you consume more antioxidants present in Chaga mushrooms, this may help reduce signs of aging. However, there is no evidence linked to this benefit.

Antioxidants in the mushrooms could also reduce cholesterol and blood pressure caused by oxidative stress. However, there isn't currently enough research to back this up.

Make Your Choice Wisely

There are plenty of supplements available in the market. However, now that you know which are scientifically backed up, you can make your choice. Keep your fitness and health goals in mind and continue to research for the best benefits.
