Miley Cyrus reveals first kiss was with a girl

Growing up in Nashville, songstress Miley Cyrus revealed that her first kiss was with a girl in middle school. Appearing on the podcast "RuPaul: What's the Tee with Michelle Visage", Miley, who has always been open about being bi-sexual, talked about her sexuality.

Revealing on the podcast, Miley said, "When I was kind of growing up, being from the South … my first kiss was with a girl in middle school, and no one could understand, in Nashville, saying that … so I had that relationship." The "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" singer has always been an advocate for LBGTQ+ rights, and discussed her Disney Hannah Montana days when she would be the only star to openly say that she supported all her gay friends.

Miley, who got married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, boyfriend of a decade, in an intimate home wedding, credits her marriage to being New Age rather than old fashioned, and says that she is a queer person in a hetero relationship. After her brief split from Liam Hemsworth in 2015, Miley dated Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell, and also mentioned her beliefs that contemporary relationships and partnerships don't have much to do with gender or sex. "Sex is actually a small part, and gender is a very small, almost irrelevant part of relationships," added the 'Wrecking Ball" singer.
